Just wanted to say a quick thank you to everyone who participated in last week’s free promotional giveaway of WEDLOCKED on Amazon. My goal in running the promotion was to bring the book to a wider audience — and the KDP Select giveaway did exactly that! A few of the highlights from the campaign:
*WEDLOCKED claimed the #1 spot in Amazon’s Best Sellers Rank in the Marriage & Family division and #2 in Women’s Studies.
*Facebook brought the promotion to more than 30,000 people with a 13% engagement rate (industry average is 6%!).
*The book was downloaded 279 times!
All in all, the promotion was a success — now it’s time to (impatiently) wait for readers to rate and review the book, and hopefully continue bringing the issue of forced marriage to a wider and more diverse audience.
Thanks again to everyone who participated and helped spread the word!
I wanted to let you all know about a limited time deal on my book, WEDLOCKED: A Story of Forced Marriage.
I’ll be giving WEDLOCKED away for FREE for two days only: September 22 and 23 (Thursday and Friday). Why free? It’s a limited time deal on Amazon that will expand my readership and give me a chance to connect with a wider audience.
If you’ve been meaning to download the book but haven’t had a chance, this deal is for you! My only request is that you please leave a review – just a few sentences is fine! – on Amazon or Goodreads if you enjoy the book.
The limited time offer will run from September 22 at midnight PST to 11:59 pm PST on September 23. I’d love it if you would spread the word!
Thanks so much to everyone who tuned in yesterday to the BBC Asian Network to listen to Sonali Shah and I discuss WEDLOCKED and forced marriage.
If you didn’t have a chance to listen live but would like to hear the broadcast, it’s available on the program’s website here. The segment begins at 2:13:50 and lasts 14 minutes.
